Ingredients
3 cups whole milk
Chocolate powder
Cocoa
Sugar
Cream
Sprinkles
175 grams dark chocolate chips (about 1 cup)
2 tsp pure vanilla extract

Method
In a small, heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium-low heat, combine the milk and the vanilla extract and heat it until the liquid just starts to steam, but don't let it simmer or boil.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the chocolate chips and stir carefully while they melt. Check the flavour and sweetness, add more chocolate chip if you need to.
Top with whipped cream and marshmallows if you wish or you could add sprinkles, cocoa powder, nutmeg, chocolate shavings or a chocolate finger and serve right away.
Christmas Hot Chocolate is lovely when you add a cinnamon stick to the heating milk, but remember to remove it before you add the chocolate chips.
If using chocolate powder then follow instructions and you could use water and milk or just milk, toppings as above.
TOP TIP! If you are worried about your child using very hot water then they can learn to make the drink using cooler water, this book is written on how to learn the process of making the drink, as they become more comfortable in the kitchen they can adjust the water temperature for the drink.

mhmmm, cant wait to make one of these!
